The tenth season of The Masked Singer US concluded with the unmasking of the final contestants and the announcement of the winner.

In the December 20 finale, Sea Queen, Gazelle, Cow, and Donut competed for the ‘Golden Mask’ trophy, and Cow emerged as the winner.

Cow and Donut then faced off in front of the judging panel for the chance to claim the top title.

The conclusion of the competition featured an emotional performance of ‘Drift Away’ by Dobie Gray, and Donut claimed the second-place position. Donut was unveiled as country singer John Schneider.

The highly anticipated reveal occurred when Cow, who secured the victory with a rendition of Rihanna’s ‘Take a Bow,’ was unmasked as the eventual champion. Judges Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger accurately guessed Cow’s identity, and Grammy-winning singer Ne-Yo was joyfully revealed to be the star behind the mask.

Ne-Yo’s unmasking on “The Masked Singer US” is his second appearance on the show, having previously secured second place on the UK version in 2021, narrowly missing the top spot to JLS star Aston Merrygold.

Explaining his decision to participate in the UK version first, Ne-Yo told Entertainment Weekly: “I felt like on the American version, I would get caught quicker. People would recognize my voice a little faster. So I did the U.K. version thinking that I had a better shot at winning, and it turns out I didn’t win, and I was second runner-up, but that was fine. That was totally fine. I had a ball with it. And the same thing with this one. I had so much fun.

“Even if I hadn’t won, I still would’ve just totally enjoyed the experience. I never thought that one of my most fun stage performances would be with me dressed up as a female cow of all things. I never would’ve imagined that.”
